4 years agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop prospect Marco Luciano, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, is expected to be on the team's taxi squad when rosters are officially announced. Luciano will not turn 19 years old until September, so he's an extreme long shot to get a big league call-up during the shortened 60-game regular season this year. The Dominican infielder hit a combined .302/.417/.564 with 10 home runs, 42 RBI, 52 runs and nine stolen bases in 47 games in the Rookie League and at Low-A Salem-Kizer last year. Luciano may have the most raw power of any minor league infielder already and has a solid plate approach.
