Marco Gonzales Breaks Winless Drought In So-So Outing
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Marco Gonzales got back in the win column Friday night breaking a streak of six losses in a row. He gave up two runs on two hits and three walks while striking out five over 5.2 IP against the Angels who trounced him for 10 runs in his last start on Sunday. Gonzales has now evened his record to 6-6 with a 4.77 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and an underwhelming 16.2 K-rate on the season, not holding much value in shallow mixed leagues. The southpaw is turning into solely a streaming option and may be worth starting in his next start against the Athletics in the spacious confines of the Oakland Coliseum.
