10/1:Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Mallex Smith finished out his speedy season in style Sunday versus Toronto. He would score twice and steal two bases. The stolen bases brought his season-ending total to 40. He would finish second in the American League and third in the majors in steals. For a while, he was batting over .300 but slumped the last week to end up batting .296 for the season. His lack of power prevents him from reaching greater heights for fantasy but he has a place in all but the shallowest of leagues as long as he is eligible and stolen bases are a category that is rewarded.--Jamie Mellor - RotoBaller
