Malcolm Brown, Jason McCourty To Go On Injured Reserve
3 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Malcolm Brown (quadriceps) and safety Jason McCourty (foot) will be placed on Injured Reserve this week after getting injured in the Week 7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. McCourty may end up needing surgery on his foot, according to sources, which would keep him out for the long term. Brown will be forced to miss at least the next three games. He's second on the team behind Myles Gaskin with 33 rushing attempts (125 yards, one touchdown) in seven games, but he's caught only three of five targets for 10 yards, so he hasn't been much of a fantasy option in this uninspiring Miami backfield. With Brown sidelined, Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed will see more opportunities, beginning in Week 8 against a tough Buffalo Bills defense.
