7 months agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino will make the start against the A's in the wild-card game on Wednesday. Severino was strong all year for the Yanks, going 19-8 with a 3.39 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and impressive 10.3 K/9 across 32 starts. His most recent start against Oakland on Sept. 5 didn't go very well, though, as he allowed five earned runs on his hits in just 2 2/3 innings for the loss. He beat them on May 13 by giving up just one run in six innings. Severino also pitched better in the Bronx this year (2.74 ERA, 1.04 WHIP) than on the road (3.99 ERA, 1.24 WHIP).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
