Lane Johnson Says His Season Is Over
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson (ankle) said that his 2020 season is over after dealing with a serious ankle issue. Although the Eagles offensive line has been an excellent run-blocking unit this year, injuries are starting to take a toll on them. It was announced earlier on Friday that the team will also move Jason Peters, who is dealing with turf toe, to right guard and right tackle Jordan Mailata will shift over to quarterback Carson Wentz's blind side. With Johnson now done for the year, that could mean that rookie Jack Driscoll will be tasked with starting at right tackle. The Eagles lost starting left tackle Andre Dillard to an injury earlier this season. This could be the nail in the coffin for an already disjointed Philly offense heading into a Monday night showdown with the Seahawks in Week 12.
