La'Mical Perine Out With Illness
3 years agoNew York Jets running back La'Mical Perine (illness) has been ruled out of Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans with a non-COVID-19-related illness. With Perine out, the Jets backfield will consist of Tevin Coleman, Ty Johnson and rookie Michael Carter against Tennessee. With Coleman out last week, Johnson played 57.4 percent of the offensive snaps, while Carter saw 42.6 percent of the snaps in the shutout loss to the Denver Broncos. Carter carried the ball nine times for 24 yards and caught two of his three targets for five yards. Johnson had three carries for 17 yards and caught one of five targets for six yards. Yeah, pretty ugly. Things get uglier for this backfield in terms of fantasy with Coleman returning this weekend.
