Kyle Wright Makes Braves Rotation
4 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Kyle Wright will serve as the No. 5 in the Opening Day starting rotation. Mike Soroka will start on Opening Day on Friday against the Rays, followed by left-hander Max Fried, lefty Sean Newcomb, Mike Foltynewicz and Wright. Wright, 24, is listed by MLB Pipeline as the team's No. 4 prospect. The right-hander clearly has the stuff to be a successful starter in the big leagues, but his control eluded him in his big league stint last season. Wright has four pitches that can get outs in the majors, making him worth a roster spot in deep mixed and NL-only leagues as long as he remains in the rotation. Atlanta has a plethora of starting options at their disposal, so Wright will need to perform in order to keep his rotation spot.
