Kyle Tucker Out With Finger Injury
Kyle Tucker (finger) is sitting out Tuesday's series opener against the hosting Washington Nationals in D.C. after jamming his right ring finger in Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. X-rays came back for any fractures, though, and Tucker will get an extra day off after a travel day on Monday. It's the first time the 28-year-old left-handed slugger will take a day off in his first year with the team. Seiya Suzuki is playing right field and batting second, while Justin Turner is the designated hitter and batting eighth against Nationals right-hander Trevor Williams. Fantasy managers will want to check back on Wednesday to see if Tucker is back on the field for the Cubbies. In his first year in Chicago, Tucker has ben in All-Star form, hitting .284/.394/.524 with a .918 OPS, 12 homers, 39 RBI, 44 runs and 16 steals in 225 at-bats.
