Kyle Stowers Returns on Tuesday
Kyle Stowers (illness) is feeling better and is starting in left field and hitting cleanup in Tuesday's game against the hosting St. Louis Cardinals and right-hander Sonny Gray at Busch Stadium. Stowers was scratched from the series opener on Monday but will return the very next day. The 27-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder has never faced Gray in his career, but fantasy managers will want to get Stowers back into their starting lineups immediately the way he's been swinging the bat. In his last 12 games, the breakout star is hitting an absurd .439 (18-for-41) with seven home runs and four doubles. He comes into Tuesday's tilt slashing a robust .299/.379/.573 with a .952 OPS, 23 home runs, 63 RBI, 52 runs scored and five stolen bases. Stowers' strong season earned him his first All-Star appearance this summer.
