Kyle Schwarber Sitting With Knee Injury On Thursday
4 years agoWashington Nationals outfielder Kyle Schwarber (knee) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Tucker Davidson and the Atlanta Braves. Josh Harrison is getting the start in left field while Jordy Mercer is playing second base in the game. Schwarber was forced to exit Wednesday's game after injuring his knee in the field. Nationals manager Dave Martinez told reporters that Schwarber's knee locked up after he attempted to dive for a foul ball. He was replaced in the game by Andrew Stevenson. The injury doesn't sound too severe at this point. Schwarber should be considered day-to-day with a chance to return on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
