Kolten Wong Exits Early With Calf Discomfort
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers' second baseman Kolten Wong (calf) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with calf right calf discomfort. He went 0-for-1 before exiting. Keston Hiura replaced the 31-year-old in the fourth inning. Wong continues to deal with a calf issue and missed a game last week after being hit by a pitch in the calf. The severity of his calf injury is unknown, and Wong is considered day-to-day. Hiura would see an uptick in playing time if Wong were to miss any games. The 25-year-old is a speculative add in most league formats after hitting .218 with five home runs and two stolen bases over 29 games in 2022.
