2 months agoThe San Francisco Giants non-tendered outfielder Kevin Pillar on Monday, making him a free agent. The 30-year-old veteran hit a combined .259/.287/.432 with 21 home runs, 83 runs, 88 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 161 games with the Blue Jays and Giants in 2019. He spent the majority of his time with San Fran, playing in 156 games while hitting .264 with all 21 of his long balls. Pillar can go on fantasy relevant stretches with his bat when he gets hot, but his slumps can be debilitating for a fantasy squad as well. His defensive prowess in center field is his strength, but he may be nothing more than a single-universe outfielder for what's left of his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
