Kevin Coleman Jr. 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Clear Path to Opportunities for Rookie Receiver
During the 2026 offseason, the Miami Dolphins tore it all down and are looking for a fresh start. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are no longer with the team, two staples not only for the Dolphins' passing attack over the last few seasons, but staples on fantasy football rosters everywhere. Outside De'Von Achane and his 67 receptions, Malik Washington is the top returning pass catcher, having caught 46 of 65 targets a season ago. The current depth chart in Miami features Washington, long with castoffs Jalen Tolbert and Tutu Atwell, who have never lived up to their hype. After that are the three rookie receivers the Dolphins selected in April: Chris Bell, Caleb Douglas, and Kevin Coleman Jr. For Coleman, there is a path to fantasy relevance early on. By all accounts, the Miami Dolphins have one of the five worst receiver rooms in the league, which allows for an open competition for those starting spots. Despite lacking elite speed and size, Coleman can become a favourite target of Malik Willis thanks to his ability to find and settle into the soft spots against zone coverage. It's no accident that Coleman has 140 receptions over his last two seasons, split between Mississippi State and Missouri, while earning 28.9% and 23.9% of the team's target share in those seasons. If Coleman can replicate that 0.351 missed tackles forced per reception he posted in 2024, there is fantasy production to be had.
