Keenan Allen Placed On COVID-19 List
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers placed wide receiver Keenan Allen on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday. Allen tested positive for the virus after producing five catches on eight targets for 34 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 13 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. If he is vaccinated, he'll need to be asymptomatic and provide two negative tests 24 hours apart in order to be cleared to play in Week 14 against the New York Giants on Sunday. If Allen is unvaccinated, he'll be quarantined 10 days and will miss this week's game. There's a good chance he might not play this week regardless, so fantasy managers need to prepare for that possibility. Allen has been a solid WR2 this year with 86 receptions for 929 yards and four touchdowns on 124 targets. If he's out this week, Jalen Guyton, who caught a long TD on Sunday, would step into the No. 2 role next to Mike Williams.
