Kadarius Toney Not Seen At Practice Wednesday
3 years agoNew York Giants rookie wide receiver Kadarius Toney (quadriceps) wasn't seen at the portion of practice open to the media on Wednesday, and he could be up in the air to play in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants just played on Monday night, though, so there's a chance they're giving Toney a little extra time to rest on a short week. The first-rounder paced the team with his 12 targets -- his second-highest total of the season -- and had seven catches for 40 yards in the loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It was disappointing the electric and shifty wideout wasn't able to total more yardage, but the Giants need to continue getting the ball in his hands. Sterling Shepard's (quadriceps) status is worth watching as well, as Toney won't be as exciting as an upside WR3/flex if Shepard returns to the lineup this Sunday.
