K.J. Hamler's Role To Increase Without Courtland Sutton
4 years agoDenver Broncos rookie wide receiver K.J. Hamler, who caught three of his seven targets in his NFL debut in Week 2 against the Steelers for 48 yards, will have an expanded role moving forward with Courtland Sutton (knee) done for the year. Hamler played the second-most snaps of any Broncos receiver last week and had a healthy seven targets, so he'll be involved. The speedy 21-year-old can play in the slot or outside, but he'll be facing a stingy Tampa secondary this Sunday and won't have quarterback Drew Lock (shoulder) under center either. There is a chance that Hamler can use his speed to get behind the defense and break a big play or two, but he'll have a low floor as a WR4/5 in deeper leagues.
