Justin Thomas continued his struggles playing links golf, missing the cut at the Open Championship in excruciating fashion. Thomas opened Thursday with a two-under 69, placing him on the first page of the leaderboard and in early contention for the Claret Jug. Unfortunately, Thomas' dream of being "The Champion Golfer of the Year" was short-lived. The second-ranked golfer in the world shot a Friday 77 to miss the cut on the number. In our opinion, Thomas has proven he isn't a bad links golfer and will eventually figure things out. Most of his missed cuts at links venues have come out of nowhere, usually after the American shoots a stellar Thursday score. Whether it's becoming a mental issue for the youngster is debatable, but Thomas is too talented not to eventually figure out what is going wrong. --Spencer Aguiar - RotoBallerRead More News
