Justin Rose Heads Into Weekend With Farmers Lead
6 years agoJustin Rose is the number one-ranked player in the world and he looks every bit the part through the first two rounds of the Farmers Insurance Open. Rose backed up a blistering opening-round 63 on Torrey Pines North with an equally impressive second-round 66 on the much tougher South Course. The Englishman sits at 15-under par through 36 holes, three shots clear of Hideki Matsuyama. Rose has played well in his last two visits to Torrey Pines, logging top-10 finishes in 2017 and 2018. With both weekend rounds being played on the difficult South Course and an elite group of players chasing him, Rose will need to continue his excellent play to win the Farmers.
