Jurickson Profar Expected to Hit Second When he Returns
Jurickson Profar will likely play all nine innings in his first minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday night, according to manager Brian Snitker. The Braves' skipper also said that he's looking forward to having the switch-hitting Profar bat out of the two-hole when he returns from his 80-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs on July 2. It will be interesting to see how productive the 32-year-old is when he returns to the big leagues after getting popped for PEDs. Fantasy managers definitely shouldn't be expecting him to be as good as he was with the San Diego Padres in 2024, when he hit .280/.380/.459 with an .839 OPS, 24 home runs, 85 RBI, 94 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 158 games. At the very least, though, Profar should make plenty of contact and be a nice source of runs. Pick him up if he's lingering on the waiver wire.
