Juan Soto In Starting Lineup Versus Rangers
1 year agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Juan Soto (finger) is starting in left field and batting third for the start of a weekend series on Friday against the Texas Rangers and right-hander Dane Dunning. Soto was set to undergo an MRI exam during the off day on Thursday for a right middle-finger injury that has been bothering him for a while, but the Padres have yet to receive the results. Apparently the 24-year-old All-Star is feeling well enough to play, so fantasy managers need to keep him in their lineups for another day. Soto was held out on Wednesday but drew a walk as a pinch-hitter in the ninth inning. He leads baseball with 95 walks and has a strong .417 on-base percentage and 20 home runs on the year, but he's hit just .214 (15-for-70) with six homers, four doubles, 20 RBI and 14 runs in 21 games this month.
