Josh Adams Returns To Jets
4 years agoThe New York Jets re-signed running back Josh Adams to an undisclosed one-year deal, according to sources. Adams became an unrestricted free agent when the team chose not to tender him as a restricted free agent, but he'll return nonetheless. Adams is an ideal scheme fit in offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur's offense. He's mostly been on the team's practice squad since joining them in 2019, appearing in only 11 games while rushing for 169 yards and two touchdowns over the last two seasons. In 14 games (five starts) with the Philadelphia Eagles in his rookie season in 2018, Adams had 511 rushing yards, 58 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He could have a real opportunity for playing time alongside La'Mical Perine, Ty Johnson and Pete Guerriero in 2021.
