2 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels placed left-hander Jose Suarez (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list on Monday with a left-shoulder injury. In a corresponding move, pitcher Cesar Valdez was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake. Suarez departed his start against the Texas Rangers early on Sunday with left-shoulder soreness, and now he'll miss at least the next two weeks of action. The 25-year-old Venezuelan southpaw hadn't been a fantasy factor to begin with, posting a rough 9.62 ERA (8.29 FIP), 2.14 WHIP, 15 walks and 21 strikeouts in 24 1/3 innings pitched over his first six starts of the season. There's a good chance that Chase Silseth will be moved from the Angels' bullpen to the starting rotation to take over for Suarez.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
