2 years agoCincinnati Reds infielder Jose Barrero is starting in center field and is hitting ninth in the batting order on Friday against the New York Yankees and right-hander Clarke Schmidt. With rookie Matt McLain taking over the 6 in Cincinnati, Barrero has to find other avenues for playing time with the Reds. The 25-year-old hasn't been much of a fantasy commodity through 32 games this year, and batting in the nine-hole makes him completely avoidable for fantasy lineups. Barrero enters Friday's contest against the Yanks with a .237 average (23-for-97) with seven doubles, one home run, 12 RBI, three stolen bases and 10 runs scored in 109 plate appearances.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
