Miami Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro will have the day off for the Marlins on Wednesday, according to beat writer Joe Frisaro. Backup catcher Chad Wallach will start in his place and bat seventh in the lineup against Mets ace Jacob deGrom. Alfaro has gotten off to a nice start to the season, slashing .308/.357/.538 with one homer and three RBI. Expect him to return to the lineup on Friday against the Atlanta Braves.
