Jordan Walker Expected to Have Brief Stint on the Injured List
Jordan Walker (wrist) is expected to have a brief stint on the 10-day injured list. Walker was placed on the IL on Saturday due to left wrist discomfort. However, the team is hopeful the 23-year-old can return to action soon. Before the injury, the former top prospect was beginning to turn the corner, posting a .346/.370/.500 slash line with two doubles, one triple, and eight RBI. While Walker remains sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Alec Burleson to see most of the opportunities in right field, with Jose Barrero seeing occasional starts. Through 47 games this season, Walker has held a .215/.273/.310 line with four doubles, one triple, and three home runs. On Sunday afternoon, Burleson got the starting nod in right field.
