The Colorado Avalanche signed free-agent forward Joonas Donskoi (Sharks) to a four-year contract with an average annual value of $3.9 million. The 27-year-old Finn really took a nice step forward last season, tying a career best with 14 goals while setting a new high with 37 points and a plus-10 rating. He also had four game-winning goals to set a new high. Donskoi also brings playoff experience to Colorado, playing in 50 postseason games while potting seven goals and 21 points. He'll have a difficult time cracking the top-six forward spots in Denver, so he is more of a late-round, low-end fantasy guy in most pools.--Daniel Dobish
