Jonathan India Back as the DH on Monday
Jonathan India (knee) is back in the starting nine for Monday's series opener in the Bay Area against the hosting San Francisco Giants and left-hander Robbie Ray, serving as the designated hitter and batting leadoff for KC. India will be back in action to begin the week after he was scratched from Sunday's series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals with soreness in his knee. It obviously wasn't a very serious injury, as he's back in there a day later. The 28-year-old former fifth overall pick by the Cincinnati Reds out of Florida has contributed very little for fantasy managers in his first year with the Royals to this point, slashing a weak .238/.330/.311 with only one homer, 12 RBI and 17 runs scored in 164 at-bats. India has gone hitless in just two career at-bats against Ray, but he's better in May, hitting .274 (17-for-62) with his only homer, four doubles and seven RBI in 15 games.
