Johnny Cueto To Start On Thursday
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Johnny Cueto (illness) will start on Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians. Cueto didn't make his last scheduled start over the weekend against the Detroit Tigers due to dizziness, but he's since been cleared for a big series against Cleveland. The veteran 36-year-old Dominican has been solid for the Pale Hose this year, going 7-8 with a 3.09 ERA (3.94 FIP), a 1.20 WHIP, 88 strikeouts and 31 walks in 139 2/3 innings pitched over 22 appearances (21 starts). He'll be hoping to bounce back from his last outing, when he surrendered seven runs (five earned) on eight hits while walking one and striking out three in 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Oakland Athletics.
