John Means Earns Sixth Win Of Season Tuesday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means improved to 6-4 in Tuesday's 4-2 win against the Blue Jays. Means pitched five innings, allowing a single run on four hits (including a solo home run) and three walks with seven strikeouts. The 26-year-old has been excellent for the O's this season and now has a 2.60 ERA with 57 strikeouts in 65 2/3 IP. His 4.53 SIERA suggests that he has gotten quite lucky, but fantasy players should continue to use him until that luck runs out. Means is slated to face a tough Red Sox matchup at home in his next start, but he isn't a bad start given how he has been pitching.
