Joe Mixon In Line For Full Workload
3 years agoCincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (ankle) is expected to receive a full workload in Week 6 against the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Zac Taylor. Mixon took the day off in practice on Thursday, but he's getting closer to 100 percent after being limited in Week 5. The 25-year-old ceded 15 touches to Samaje Perine, who is now on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, but Mixon was able to save his fantasy day with a visit to the end zone in the loss to the Green Bay Packers. With Perine likely to be out this Sunday, Mixon should have a larger workload while being spelled by rookie Chris Evans. The Lions defense has also allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to RBs, so Mixon should be locked into starting fantasy lineups as an upside RB1.
