Joc Pederson Loses Arbitration Case
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson lost his salary arbitration case on Friday and will earn $7.75 million in 2020 instead of the $9.5 million he was requesting, according to a source. Pederson is expected to be dealt to the Angels if/when the Dodgers blockbuster deal for Mookie Betts and David Price is officially finalized. Pederson's fantasy value won't be altered all that much if the trade eventually goes through. He should hit near the top of the Angels lineup after slashing .249/.339/.538 with a career-high 36 home runs and 74 RBI in 450 at-bats in 2019 with LA. The power is nice from the left side, but he strikes out too much to help with average. His poor splits against left-handed pitchers makes him a DFS play when he's facing right-handers.
