Joaquin Niemann May Find Himself in Trouble at Liberty National

Joaquin Niemann is an extremely talented player, but I tend to prefer him on easier courses where birdies are the currency and there is a de-emphasis on short game. While the young Chilean is an excellent iron player, my concern is that he will have to rely too much on his short game if his approach game isn't completely on point. Niemann is coming off a week at the FedEx St. Jude Invitational where he lost 2.1 strokes on approach, which was unfortunately his worst iron week in over two months. The former Greenbrier Classic champion has played well this season on courses like Waialae and Detroit Golf Club, but been far less effective on tougher tests.
