Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard allowed three goals on 28 shots during a 4-3 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night. Howard has now won back-to-back starts and improved his record to 3-5-2. The veteran netminder has middling fantasy value as the Red Wings project to be one of the worst teams in the league. They have rattled off three consecutive wins, but that stretch will likely be an outlier over the course of the season. Howard will take a 3.06 goals-against average and .912 save percentage into Saturday's matchup against the Edmonton Oilers. There are far better fantasy goaltending options out there.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
