Jimmy Garoppolo Recovering From Foot Surgery
2 years agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) isn't taking part in organized team activities this week while he recovers from left-foot surgery that he had in March after signing with the team, according to head coach Josh McDaniels. Garoppolo's recovery timeline from the surgery is unknown. He initially suffered the injury on Dec. 6 of last year and didn't play another game. The sense is that the Raiders aren't worried about the 31-year-old being ready for the start of the 2023 season in September. Injuries have become an issue for Jimmy G. Since he became a starter for the 49ers in 2017, he's missed 31 regular season games and has suffered three season-ending injuries. Garoppolo is now missing important practices as he tries to learn the team's offense and gain chemistry with his receivers. Injury concerns alone make Garoppolo a low-end QB2 in fantasy.
