Jets Release Pierre Desir
4 years agoThe New York Jets are releasing defensive back Pierre Desir on Tuesday. Desir signed a one-year, $3.75 million deal with the Jets in free agency after two productive seasons with the Colts. He had a career-high three interceptions in 2019 and had three picks in nine games this year with New York. However, per Next Gen Stats, Desir ranked among the league's worst cornerbacks in completion percentage allowed above expectation, allowing a completion on 74.5 percent of his targets -- 11.3 percent above expected completions. You'll want to stay far away from the Jets Defense coming off their bye in Week 11 against a Chargers offense that has been explosive at times under rookie quarterback Justin Herbert.
