4 years agoThe New York Jets released former starting linebacker James Burgess on Friday, according to a source. Burgess started 10 games at middle linebacker for Gang Green in 2019 and had an impressive 80 total tackles. He also had an interception, half a sack, five passes defensed, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The 26-year-old had four sacks in his rookie year with Cleveland and 75 total tackles in 2017. He'll be hoping to latch on with another team for the 2020 season as linebacker depth.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
