Jets Claim Clive Walford Off Waivers
7 years agoThe New York Jets claimed tight end Clive Walford off waivers from the Oakland Raiders on Monday. With Austin Seferian-Jenkins signing with the Jaguars in free agency, New York was looking for a new tight end, as their only other tight end on the roster were Eric Tomlinson and Jordan Leggett. Walford had just nine catches for 80 yards in 13 games for Oakland last year and was passed up by Jared Cook. Walford could be the team's top pass-catching tight end in 2018, but with the quarterback situation unsettled, he'll be a fantasy backup, at best.
