Jets Activate Jarrad Davis From Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe New York Jets activated linebacker Jarrad Davis (ankle) from Injured Reserve on Saturday and elevated quarterback Josh Johnson to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. Davis will be making his season debut in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals after getting injured in the preseason, and he will likely draw the start on Sunday. In 14 games (four starts) for the Detroit Lions in 2020, Davis had 46 tackles, half a sack and two forced fumbles. The former first-rounder in 2017 should help boost the interior of New York's defense in a tough matchup with the rising Bengals. In a corresponding move, the Jets released safety Jarrod Wilson.
