The New York Jets are attempting to boot their defense after the loss of pass rusher Carl Lawson (Achilles) earlier in camp. On Sunday, the Jets acquired linebacker Shaq Lawson from the Houston Texans in exchange for a sixth-round pick. I mean, it's something, but it's not going to fix the Jets defense. Lawson has tallied 18.5 sacks over the last four seasons, so he does offer some upside. Despite his addition, the Jets should be a one of the worst defenses in the league.
