Jeff Saturday Named Colts Interim Head Coach
2 years agoThe Indianapolis Colts are naming former six-time Pro Bowl center and ESPN analyst Jeff Saturday as their interim head coach on Monday after firing Frank Reich. Saturday has been a consultant for the team and is in its Ring of Honor. He was also the head coach for the Hebron Christian Academy football team in Georgia. The Colts have been reeling as an organization ever since losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the regular season finale last year to miss the playoffs. They dumped Carson Wentz and traded for Matt Ryan, but Ryan was benched last week in favor of Sam Ehlinger, and the team also fired offensive coordinator Marcus Brady. Indy's offense has become one of the worst in football, and they've scored just 19 points in their last two games.
