Jayson Oweh Becomes Ravens Second First-Rounder
4 years agoThe Baltimore Ravens selected Penn State linebacker Jayson Oweh with the 31st overall pick of the first round of the 2021 NFL draft on Thursday night. The Ravens took Minnesota wide receiver Rashod Bateman with their first first-round pick at No. 27 overall. Oweh compares to Danielle Hunter physically and production-wise in college. He did not record a single sack in 2020 but tested as a physical freak with excellent speed, strength and length. He played the run pretty well, but questions remain as to whether he can be a legitimate pass-rusher in the NFL. Oweh's talent jumps off the page, though, so the Ravens are drafting him based on pure talent and athleticism here. They will be hoping to develop him and teach him some pass-rushing moves as a rookie.
