Javonte Williams - Week 8 Outlook for Fantasy Football
3 years agoDenver Broncos rookie running back Javonte Williams has been more explosive than backfield mate Melvin Gordon through seven weeks, but his fantasy ceiling remains capped by the fact that the two continue to split the workload nearly evenly on a weekly basis, and that doesn't figure to change in Week 8 against the Washington Football Team. Gordon saw eight more snaps than Williams in the Week 7 loss to the Cleveland Browns, but they both had 11 touches. Williams had a season-low four carries for 20 yards, but he salvaged his fantasy day by catching a season-high six passes for 32 yards and his second TD of the season. Teams have had so much success throwing the ball against Washington that they haven't really needed the running game. And with Williams and Gordon basically alternating offensive series, the 21-year-old will once again be an RB3/flex in fantasy.
