After three straight top-nine results from 2014 to 2016, Jason Day has missed his previous two U.S. Open cuts. The Aussie enters the event with some uncertainty this season, which includes hiring Tiger Woods' old caddie Steve Williams to tend his bag this weekend at Pebble Beach. Day expressed how he has "severely underachieved throughout his career" and believes Williams is the man that can help to get him on track.
