Jarrad Davis Finds A Home With Jets
4 years agoFormer Detroit Lions first-round linebacker Jarrad Davis is signing a one-year deal worth $7 million with the New York Jets on Monday, according to a source. Davis disappointed as a middle linebacker in his four years in Detroit and played sparingly in 2020. New defensive-minded head coach Robert Saleh obviously thinks that the Jets can turn Davis around. The 26-year-old had 201 solo tackles (19 for loss), one interception, nine passes defensed, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 10.5 sacks in his four seasons in Detroit. In 14 games played last season, Davis had a career-low 46 tackles (25 solo), four QB hits, two forced fumbles and half a sack in 14 games (only four starts).
