5 years agoThe Chicago White Sox selected Refugio High School pitcher Jared Kelley with the 47th overall pick in the second round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Kelley entered the year as the highest-ranked high school prospect and is considered the best Texas pitching prospect since Jameson Taillon in 2010. The right-hander creates easily velocity with little effort and can hit the upper-90s with his heater. On top of that, Kelley has an advanced changeup and is willing to throw it in any count. He pounds the strike zone as a young hurler and has a nice feel for pitching with the looks of a front-line starter down the road if he can stay healthy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
