Jared Goff Will Miss Practice Wednesday
3 years agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell said that quarterback Jared Goff (oblique) is day-to-day and will miss practice on Wednesday. Backup Tim Boyle will take first-team repetitions under center for the Lions on Wednesday. Goff suffered an oblique injury in the Week 10 tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he played through the issue and didn't think it was very serious. The 27-year-old could just be rested early in the week before returning to practice on Thursday or Friday, but his injury does open up the chance that Boyle gets a start in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns. Goff has been a low-end QB2 all season long for the winless Lions.
