The San Francisco 49ers are re-signing safety Jaquiski Tartt to an undisclosed one-year deal on Monday, according to sources. A second-round pick back in 2015, Tartt has missed 36 out of a possible 64 games during the last four seasons due to injuries, but he's been excellent for the 49ers secondary when he's on the field. Tartt has a knack for limiting explosive plays on defense and typically avoids mental lapses in coverage. During the team's Super Bowl run in 2019, he allowed just two yards per target. Tartt and Tarvarius Moore should be the team's starting safeties in 2021, and veteran Jimmie Ward brings valuable experience as well.--Keith HernandezRead More News
