Jameson Taillon Won't Throw For Another Two Weeks
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow) said that he won't throw for another two weeks in order to let the platelet-rich plasma injection that he received do its work. "Once we start throwing, we want to have a clear, clean progression," Taillon said. "We’re going to give this a couple more weeks to rest." The 27-year-old is 2-3 on the year with a 4.10 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in 37 1/3 innings over his seven starts. Fantasy owners are unlikely to have him back before the All-Star break, though, so you'll have to be patient with the right-hander. If he's fully healthy, Taillon has the potential and upside to be much better in the second half.
