James Paxton Tweaks His Hamstring
2 years agoUpdating a previous report, Boston Red Sox left-hander James Paxton (hamstring) said that he tweaked his right hamstring in his Grapefruit League appearance against the Minnesota Twins on Friday. Paxton said he's unsure how much time he'll have to miss, but he'll see how he's feeling on Saturday and go from there. The 34-year-old southpaw said he felt good on the mound before the injury, and it sounds as though it might just be a minor strain, if anything. Still, for a pitcher that missed all of last year due to Tommy John surgery and who has made just six starts in the last three years due to injuries, it's not a good sign to see him injured in his spring debut. Given all his injuries in recent years, Paxton is extremely hard to trust.
